Think of our first-ever 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, released in August 2009, as a pace car for our brand new Reserve Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced from the summit of Mt. Veeder this is full-race wine with tremendous concentration, texture and length. Fueled by fleshy white peach, gooseberry and citrus spices carrying a 100+ octane rating, the palate is sumptuous, rich and round, yet balanced with live-axle suspension. A boost of zesty acidity toward the back creates a never-ending finish. With zero malolactic fermentation it was bottled unfined and unfiltered from a handful of new French oak and stainless steel barrels. This rare and racy wine will drive you to distraction. 80 cases produced.
